Mastering Critical Conversations: Empower Yourself with Exactly What to Say

Beth Granger, CEO of Beth Granger Consulting: Intrepid Social

How many times have you left an important conversation such as an interview or networking one-to-one thinking “I should have said that differently, I could have said it better?” Most people replay their sales, leadership, or personal conversations over and over in their heads. The good news is, in this session, Beth Granger, Exactly What to Say® Certified Guide and LinkedIn/networking expert will introduce you to a way of thinking and planning for those critical conversations to start off strong and stay in the game.

During this interactive session you will learn:

  • Four simple, yet profound principles for mastering conversations
  • How to gain confidence by planning ahead for situations that may have thrown you in the past
  • Phrases to begin using immediately during upcoming important meetings

About Beth Granger:

Beth Granger is a trainer, consultant, speaker, and Exactly What to Say® Certified Guide, who works with business leaders and organizations so they can network into the right prospects, have more powerful conversations with their teams, and be known as thought leaders in their industry. Beth takes people from confused to confident when having critical conversations online, on LinkedIn™, and in person.

Her clients call her part friend, part consultant, part confidante, a sales enabler, and a LinkedIn Oracle.

LinkedIn recognizes Beth’s skills and frequently asks her to be a beta tester for features such as LinkedIn Live, LinkedIn Audio, and newsletters.

Beth is on the board of the NYC Chapter of National Speakers Association, and an advisory board member of the Social Media Association.

Prior to Beth’s presentation and interactive discussion we will spend some time on introductions. Come prepared with a written 90 second introduction which should include:

1.     Who you are and what you do

2.     Why you do it

3.     What sets you apart from everyone else

4.     How you get important things done

5.     What is the benefit to the company you would work for

Practice your pitch and try it out with your friends at FENG - compare contrast and revise it until you hear it in your sleep. This skill will serve you long after you land your next assignment.

Alumni members are encouraged to attend this meeting and participate in the discussion - it is a great way to give back to the group, and to maintain and build your network. Don’t miss this opportunity to share and learn from your fellow FENG members.
