We want to automate the process by which we authorize expenses, place purchase orders and make payments to our vendors. We have $20+million in non-payroll expenses annually. Among the methods used for payment is 100+ checks per week. We're currently processing invoices using AP on NAV 2017. We recently attended a webinar by Concur. We were impressed with that for our purposes but are looking for other comparable offerings to consider - perhaps 2 or 3 others that we should take a look at. I'd appreciate advice from others with experience in this area.

Thanks,

Larry

Larry - Are you looking at Concur for Travel and Entertainment expenses or for supporting overall procurement? Concur is best known for T&E.

The best ranked software for automating Procure-to-pay is SAP Ariba because they have the most suppliers belonging to their network (they rank very high in Gartner - check out ranking and white paper). Another one for Procure to Pay is Coupa...also high ranking in Gartner. BTW Concur was acquired by SAP Ariba

The cost of Ariba SAP can be significantly lower if you went with their on-demand version. At my last work place 5 year contract was under $8MM! You can also ask them to take a look at your AP supplier list and match how many of hem are already SAP Supplier network members. One caution I would advise is taking a good look at your ERP system that your AP module is part of...key challenges to automating will be Commodity codes and Combination edits....many companies find themselves to be immature or over customized/ over complicated in these two aspects.
Hope this helps

Larry - we selected ivalua (Gartner leading quadrant) for our source to pay transformation, migrating away from a legacy PeopleSoft platform.

ivalua provide a great end user expereince, both internally and for the vendors using their portal. For us, this was a major selling point - we wanted to drive up user adoption and get people using the platform to do a lot more competitive bidding. Payments can also be done on their platform, although we opted to not do that initially.

Thanks, Bhu. Our goal is to support overall procurement. We recognize the Concur sweet spot is T&E, but they promote invoice processing. A less than $8MM option is a non-starter. We're only $35+m revenue business.

Thanks, Mike. Would ivalua be able to demonstrate value and ROI for a $35MM business?
