WELCOME TO THE … BIG apple JOB CLUB (BaJC) – REGISTRATION 2018 KICK-OFF )NO MEETING SCHEDULED AT THIS TIME)

JOB CLUB ORIGIN: This Methodology has been used by the London FENG Chapter for several years ... with a 90% success landing rate for each member within a three-month period.

PURPOSE: To support Senior Financial Professionals with results driven job search to land a: Permanent position; Project consulting engagement; Fractional/Interim/Outsourced CFO, CAO, Chief Audit Executive, Treasurer or Tax position.

PARTICIPANTS: A self-managed Group comprised of members (six to ten individuals) of The FENG New York Chapter and run by Chapter Volunteers. Information from Paul Stuhlman’s JobSearchDx.com website is a resource for the Clubs to manage their team.

COST: There is no cost be a BaJC Member.

WHEN: Every week for two hours at a time … possibly from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Attendance at every meeting is MANDATORY, unless you are excused because of a job interview or family emergency. One unexcused meeting absence will cause you to no longer be a Member of The Club.

WHERE: Main Branch will be in Manhattan; plus a Stamford Branch. If there is enough interest: a Morristown and/or Garden City Branch could be initiated.

MANDATORY NON-MEETING COMMITMENT: Each member will need to complete 20 to 30 hours each week of job search tasks and activities as determined by the Club's Members and Chairs to continue as a BaJC Member.

BaJC MEETING AGENDA: Individual Report-outs, Group discussion, Resume reviews, Elevator pitches, Job interview role-playing, Sharing Leads/Networking, etc.

METRICS & OBJECTIVES: Establishing, analyzing and reporting on these Metrics and Objectives.

DASHBOARD: Consistently using a "dashboard" document for capturing weekly Metrics and Objectives.

OTHER DIMENSIONS: Tone, Competition, Transitioning Members and Recognition of Member successes.

LEADERSHIP CHAIR & Co-CHAIR: Each Club is required to have a Chair and Co-Chair from members in the Club.

PLEASE NOTE: When registration for BaJC closes on November 21st … there will a determination if there are if enough participation for ancillary Branches in the Morristown or Garden City area. Prior to the Physical Initial Kick-Off Meeting (late November/early December) … The Club Charter, Detailed Agenda, Club Chairs and Metrics Spreadsheet will be shared with the Job Club Members.

About the New York, NY Chapter

The Chapter in New York City has Eight thousand members, with more than half being Alumni status (meaning -- employed or they have landed and are with a new employer).

We generally meet the Second Thursday of each month; but sometimes shift the date given the availability of key presenters. Please be sure to check the website when registering.

TOM HALL ... Iron Crest Partners LLC (COOs ... Tom is the CFO for PEPPER LLC, a CLOUD based technology for Alternative Asset Management, based at 48 Wall Street in New York City. He serves as a Board Advisor for "The Daily Shot BRIEF; a daily e-newsletter on Global Macro Events that has 30 thousand subscribers in 90 countries.

He has 30+ years industry experience as a finance executive working with companies including World Gold Council, American Stock Transfer & Trust LLC, Marathon Petroleum Company, Marathon Oil Company, AIG, Atlantic Savings Bank, GSO Capital Partners (Member of The Blackstone Group), U.S. Steel Corporation and American Lawyer Media, Inc.; and seven years in public accounting, including KPMG.

Positions held include COO, CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, Treasurer and Chief Audit Executive. He is a Former Adjunct Assistant Professor at NEW YORK UNIVERSITY (NYU) specializing in IFRS and financial statement analysis instruction. He is a Member of The New York Audit Directors Roundtable of The Institute of Internal Auditors.

Currently Chair of the FENG's New York and Tokyo Chapters and Co-Chair of the Risk Management SIG and Media SIG. Tom is a CGMA, CPA, MBA and IFRS Certified; and an alumnus of the University of Illinois, University of Toledo and Columbia University in New York.
