Agenda:

The Neuroscience of the Successful Job Search. Every successfully hired executive candidate appeals potently to four distinct functions of the hiring team’s brains. These four functions (or processing modes) have evolved to assess safety, legitimacy, trust, and value in very specific ways. However, the candidate’s brain can create unconscious defenses that prioritize an ancient type of survival. This survival mode blocks the opportunity to build trust and value between the candidate and the hiring team. In order to overcome these deeply ingrained biological imperatives, Nora Simpson has created a neuroscience-based career search toolset designed to unleash new levels of search success for savvy, self-aware leaders. These tools melt the obstacles that lurk in the brains of both employers and candidates. And if you’re gainfully employed, all these tools can be applied to sales, leadership, and influencing of all types. With stories of real-life breakthroughs and plenty of laughs, Nora will arm you with a whole new arsenal of approaches to networking, branding, self-promotion, interviewing, and overall job search success.
