Hello Dallas FENG members,
I just recently relocated to the Dallas after a 20 year absence and seeking advice on the local market.
About me: I have over 15 years of experience at both Fortune 500 sized multi-nationals and venture-backed start ups, across varied industries including SaaS-based Information Solutions, Entertainment Software, Telecom and Auto Manufacturing. My career has specialized in leading financial planning and analysis organizations and providing strategic decision support (i.e., M&A, Portfolio planning, Business Case modelling, JV/Partnerships, etc) to C-level business partners. I'm currently a Vice President of Finance at Thomson Reuters (a $12B Information Solutions company) but will be exiting at the end of this year. I have an MBA from NYU-Stern.
My objective: I am looking for executive finance opportunities (CFO, or CFO-1, depending on the size) with companies that have aggressive growth goals and are looking for a finance leader to help accelerate top-line performance while building a profitable and scalable business. Given my background they would most likely be a Software Technology (SaaS, B2B or B2C) or pure Content/Information Solutions company, however I'm open to exploring other industries. Ideally the company would be based in the Dallas/Ft Worth area since we just relocated from an internaional assignment, but I am willing to consider relocating for the right role.
If you or someone you know would be interested in meeting someone with my background and experience, I welcome all recommendations, referrals, and introductions. Please feel free to contact me either via phone, email, or LinkedIn.
In addition a few requests for advice:
- Are there any local executive recruiters that specialize in finance? I've spoken with a few of the major national firms already, but curious to understand the local recruiting scene better.
- Does anyone have a recommendation for a local executive career coach and resume writer?
- Has anyone signed up for the BlueSteps service and was it helpful?
