Looking for an experienced Controller. This position is responsible and accountable to produce monthly and annual financial statements, maintaining company records, all financial operations of the company including payroll, employee benefits, cash management, etc., and the implementation of accounting controls and development of internal control systems.
This position is ideal for someone with 10 years of broad accounting experience who wants to continue his/her accounting career in an exciting role at a well-established company. This is an opportunity for an experienced controller to grow into a CFO position within the next 2 to 3 years.
This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities; candidate must be very hands on. Qualified candidates will be systems oriented and have the ability and eagerness to learn every aspect of the internal operations of our business, to develop and implement system improvements.
Work within and oversee the accounting operations of the company, including transaction-processing operations, internal control systems, policies and procedures, etc.
Confirm that basic internal controls are in place and adequately maintained.
Ensure that the proper procedures are in place and fully documented for timely generation, review, and approval of all customer invoices.
Produce complete, timely, and accurate financial statements.
Establishes and maintains relations with banks and other financial institutions, investors and partners.
Manage all accpunting and finance matters of the company, including payroll, employee benefit programs, property and casualty insurance, cash management, etc.
Assure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Assist management in the development of annual forecasts and long-range planning.
Monitor variances from budget and report significant issues to management.
Review and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy, providing recommendations to management for operational improvements.
Participate in the developing and implementation of a project cost accounting system, and regularly review information with management.

-Experience preparing financial statements, and ability to independently prepare accurate monthly and annual company financial statements.
The Controller candidate should at a minimum have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting. CPA is a plus, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
Compensation commensurate with experience and abilities.
