Advice from Board Members:

- Network network network, and, instead of spending your money on board certifications or trainings, ask for these to be funded by the first company on whose board you sit.

- Once on a board, network actively with fellow board members. This will help you understand the company faster, and do a better job.

Great advice Lori.  So often, women go out and believe they are not qualified and spend time focusing on certifications and education when in fact networking is the key driver.  Thanks for sharing.  Nikki
