IFRS Standards are global financial reporting standards that have been adopted in 140+ countries, including India (in the form of "Ind AS"). There are specific financial reporting issues that companies still face though businesses have got back to normality after the pandemic. In the session, Homiyar and Saket will provide a global perspective on these issues.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world in many ways and financial reporting is no exception. Combined with the aftereffects of the pandemic and regulatory pressures, financial reporting issues which arose a few times in a lifetime are now routine in many ways.  What are the IFRS financial reporting issues that we need to be aware of?

Saket Modi, ACA CFA
Saket Modi is the Director of Square Mile Global Consulting, a London-headquartered financial training and consulting company. He specialises in financial reporting and analysis, particularly with regards to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), including financial instruments. 

Saket has designed and facilitated courses for finance and non-finance professionals from over 50 countries in UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. He has previously worked with Lloyds Bank and Ernst & Young.

Homiyar Wykes is a London-based Big 4 trained Chartered Accountant with over 30 years international experience in industries such as commodities trading, brokerage, transportation, logistics, ports, metals and mining. 

He has extensive experience in acquisitions, debt financing, finance function transformations, due diligence, preparation for fund raising, financial reporting (IFRS/ US GAAP), business planning and budgeting, managing shared service centres and complex consolidations.
