Lynn Lednicky and Kim Denney of Newport LLC will discuss the role and issues of a Board of Directors in a private company;

Lynn Lednicky is a Partner with Newport. Prior to joining Newport, Lynn ran his own consultancy firm where he advised capital intensive companies with long-lived assets, operating in a commodity cyclical business, and subject to government and regulatory pressures. Prior to that, Lynn held various executive roles at Dynergy. Lynn has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Rice and worked for The Dow Chemical Company for six years before returning to Rice to earn his MBA in 1991.

 

Kim Denney is a Managing Director and Partner with Newport. She has 30 years of increasing responsibility in Operations, Sales, and Corporate Functions culminating in General Management with a multi-billion dollar international company, Air Liquide USA LLC, in roles as President and Chief Administrative Officer. In these positions she focused on Strategy, Risk Management, Governance and Succession Planning.
