Please join this virtual meeting with a panel of industry leading supply chain experts. We have Hans Bean, Chief Commercial Officer of North Carolina State Ports Authority; Phil Wolfe, Vice President International Sales of Direct ChassisLink; Jim Taylor, Chief Information Officer of Daseke and Reade Kidd, CEO of E*DRAY.

North Carolina has two deep water ports in Wilmington and Morehead City. Direct ChassisLink is the largest provider of marine and domestic container chassis to the U.S. intermodal industry, and is a spin off from Maersk Shipping Lines. Daseke is the largest flatbed and specialized and logistics company in North America operating in the names of JGR, Smoky Point, Bulldog Highway Express, Central Oregon Truck Company, E.W. Wylie, Lone Star Transportation, Roadmaster Group, TSH & Company, Tri-State, Steelman Transportation, Big Freight Systems, Hornady Transportation, WTI Transport, and Boyd Bros. Transportation. E*DRAY is a technology-based solution that will dramatically change the handling and process flow of international and domestic containers at US ports and rail yards, creating a new standard for import and export container flow.

Hans Bean has been with NC State Ports for over 5 years. His prior career positions included Commercial Sales & Marketing with APM Terminals and over 10 years with Maersk Lines. Hans is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a global MBA from the University of London.

Phil Wolfe joined DCLI in August 2015 spending his first two years in the company’s Operations department managing Logistics for DCLI’s national pool network. In 2017, Phil transitioned to a commercial role as Director of Product Development where he developed product improvements to enhance customer satisfaction across all vertical groups. Phil now serves as DCLI’s VP of International Sales, responsible delivering a diversified growth strategy for the company’s marine chassis business.

Phil has spent his entire career in transportation and supply chain roles.  Immediately prior to joining DCLI, Phil served as the Pool Manager for the South Atlantic Chassis Pool where he was responsible for all chassis operations for the largest pool in Consolidated Chassis Management’s network. During the early part of his career, Phil held positions across NVOCC, warehousing and distribution, port trucking, and chassis management industry segments.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife, Ruth, and two children – 12-year-old daughter, Kathleen, and 6-year-old son, Flynn.

Jim Taylor was most recently CIO for Daseke. Prior to joining Daseke, Jim was SVP of Information Technology at Transportation Insight for over 9 years. Jim has deep experience in the third party logistics (3-PL) industry. Jim earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
