Presentation:
A 2015 study by Microsoft determined the average attention span for an adult is around eight seconds. For context, that is roughly equal to the attention span of a goldfish.  Eight seconds.  That’s how long you have to engage someone with your resume, on the phone, or during an interview.  You have eight seconds to prove you are the best candidate for the job.  Sort attention spans have a profound impact on organization life.  Especially in the area of hiring.  This class will give financial professionals new battle tactics for this new day. Learning to battle short attention spans allows professionals to stand out from the crowd and ultimately land the hob they want.

Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between the five most common causes of boredom
- Recognize how boredom negatively impacts them during the job search
- Apply various communication principles that will reduce boredom and increase engagement during their job search.
