Thanksgiving

As we begin “the holiday season,” I hope everyone will spend a few minutes counting their blessings.

Although there are always clouds on the horizon, it is vitally important to keep a positive attitude about life and our career prospects in the days, weeks, months and years to come.

In the book “The Road Less Traveled” by M. Scott Peck, the author is kind enough to explain his major point early in the book: Life is difficult. If you accept this thesis, everything makes sense.

Given that we have many problems facing us at the moment, it is possible to fall into the trap of thinking things are impossible. Things are never actually easy, but they are not impossible.

As those of us in the United States gather together on Thursday for a quintessential American holiday (hopefully with family and friends), please remember that there were years not all that long ago when things really WERE bad.

With any luck, we will all find a way to muddle through. Let that be enough.

Regards, Matt
