Carl Dase is a Senior Vice President and Group Manager of Commercial Banking. Carl has nearly 30 years of banking experience and has been with Comerica Bank in Houston since January 2006, working in various commercial lending groups.  He currently leads a Middle Market team that focuses on companies that have annual revenues from $30 million to $500 million.  At Comerica, Carl has focused primarily on Commercial & Industrial type companies with an emphasis on asset-based lending, real estate financing, acquisition financing and treasury management solutions.  In addition, he completed Comerica’s Leadership Development Program in March 2012 which is designed to position top performers for future leadership opportunities.

Carl began his banking career in Austin, Texas with Horizon Bank & Trust in August of 1993.  From August 1993 to April 1997, he was in the Residential Construction Lending Group and worked with homebuilders and individual homebuyers to finance single-family residences.  In March 1997, Compass Bank completed the acquisition of Horizon Bank & Trust, and he found an opportunity to relocate to Houston in the Business Banking Group.  In Houston, he received formal credit training and became a Relationship Manager. Prior to his banking career, Carl received his B.B.A. in Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1993.  Carl lives in Richmond, TX with his wife, Marcy, and they have two children.
