Topic:  Growing your top line – M&A Strategies

Over the last 150 years, the average S&P 500 price to earnings ratio was 15.9.   Today it stands at close to 35.  The market’s expectations for growth are high and investor impatience is growing.

Many options for growth are available, but one of the most notable, tends to be the one with the lowest expected success rate.  That option for growth is an acquisition, with less than 3 in 10 executives believing it would be successful over the long run.  Yet despite the odds, the majority of senior executives plan an acquisition over the next two years.

So how do some companies grow so successfully via acquisitions, when most others, fail?  What are the best practices we can all learn from to find the right target, pay the right price and successfully integrate to capture synergies and accrue value to our stakeholders above and beyond stand-alone value.

In our October 13th meeting, we will discuss and debate this with you all, so please come and join us as we review the best practices to grow your top line, with Mergers and Acquisitions.
