A description of what the workshops cover is set out below.

1. CV preparation including peer review.
You will have the opportunity to review the CVs of other participants and provide your feedback.  Likewise your CV will be reviewed by your peers and you will receive their feedback.

2. You will be filmed answering interview questions.
Your film clip will be put up for review and you will receive peer feedback on your performance.

3. Networking
We will explore how to network and how to make effective use of new contacts and connections.

4. There will be a session with one of Goodman Masons leading recruiters who will offer insights in to LinkedIn, use of job boards and how best to interact with the recruitment community.

Monday Job Club:
The MJC is a sub-group of the FENG London Chapter that enables senior financial executives to share job opportunities and experiences with their fellow financial executives. It is open to FENG members who are actively seeking their next role, including those that are “between” jobs. Participants include those seeking permanent roles, interim roles, project work or pursuing portfolio or NED careers.

As well as sharing job opportunities, members share experiences in such topics as networking & networking tools, elevator pitches, job search approach and metrics, topical issues and marketing materials. This allows members to gauge best practice and tailor their own job search accordingly. Participation in the Job Club also provides members a community providing peer support in their job search.

The MJC of the London Chapter meets via an MS Teams call, in the current environment, every other week on Monday’s between 11.00 am 1.15pm. The MJC has co-chairs – because the co-chairs are also actively seeking new roles themselves co-chairs tend to change quite a number of times a year. The current co-chairs are Anna Buss and Robert Toner – their contact details are at the bottom of this email and they are happy to answer any queries you may have. We normally have circa 12 to 15 participants in our meetings. In normal times the MJC meets at the offices of Goodman Masson near Barbican in London. Paul Goodman currently joins the virtual MJC meetings and this enables the members to benefit from his insight as co-founder /MD of a recruitment firm.
