Jason Anthony - Federal Reserve Dallas - Treasury SIG - Jason will cover a range of topics relative to cyber risk management including the importance of program oversight, threats, risk, impact and best practices

Jesse Thompson - Federal Reserve Dallas - Houston economic outlook.


Jason Anthony joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in 2019. Shortly after joining the Federal Reserve, he transitioned from a Sr. Risk Specialist role to a Cyber Security Risk Specialist role as a Federal Reserve System resource.

Mr. Anthony is a member on the Large and Foreign Banking Organizations (LFBO) Cyber Horizontal team that performs targeted cyber security examinations within this portfolio across the nation. Mr. Anthony also participates in FFIEC examinations for the Technology and Significant Service Providers portfolio. Prior to the Federal Reserve, Mr. Anthony was in the information security industry with previous work experiences at GEICO, GM Financial and as a consultant and entrepreneur at J. Patrick & Company.

His primary proficiencies comprise of cyber security program oversight, cyber risk management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance in the banking, financial, insurance and technology service provider industries. Mr. Anthony holds several industry certifications including C|CISO, CISSP, CGEIT, CISM, CRISC, CISA and GSTRT.

Jesse Thompson serves as senior business economist at the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Thompson, who joined the Bank in 2010, performs research and analysis on issues affecting the Houston and Gulf Coast economy. In particular, he studies issues surrounding area hydrocarbon industries. He also collects information for the Dallas Fed’s Beige Book summary of current economic conditions.

He is author of the monthly Energy Indicators, the Houston Economic Indicators, and contributes to the quarterly publication Southwest Economy.

Thompson earned an MA in economics, with emphasis on empirical microeconomics, and BA in philosophy and economics from the University of Houston.
