Topic: The Dos and Don’ts of Video Conferencing

Speaker: Peggy Bud, Founder of Speaking Skillfully

Presentation:

Creating a professional image virtually, means understanding the Do’s and Don’ts of Communicating Virtually. In many ways it’s a paradigm shift. The outbreak of COVID 19 changed how the world conducts business. We went from using a variety of platforms to communicate with clients, colleagues and friends to using a virtual world to network, interview, lead and work.

The conversation will focus on what to do to ensure you successfully connect with those on the video call. You only have one chance to make a great first impression. Whether a leader, team member or job seeker, communicating via ZOOM means you do things differently than when you were communicating face to face.

It’s about taking the time to focus on “how you look” and “how you sound” when connecting on ZOOM. It’s not business as usual. Business as usual began with a hand shake. Your virtual presence begins as you click, “Join the Meeting.”  We will discuss how to have a virtual handshake, how to connect on Zoom and how to make a sure you effectively communicated your message.
