Topic: Create Your Own Power Tribe

Speaker: Linda Fisk, Chairwoman of LeadHERship Global

Presentation:
High performing executives tend to value the perspectives of other leaders, as well as the wisdom that comes from the practical experiences learned by others in similar circumstances.  Most leaders don’t have a “safe” environment where they can share their concerns.  C-Suite executives often feel that any public show of vulnerability or uncertainty risks losing the confidence or respect of their boards of directors, employees or customers.

Linda is going to explain a little bit about gender differences in networking, and how our social networks affect our well-being.  And, she’ll identify the nine types of people everyone should have in their network. I’ll explain how you can move in the direction of your purpose, your mission and your dreams by building a global network of trust-based relationships.

We know that social networks are critical to professional advancement.  But research from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University now tells us that men and women need different kinds of networks to succeed.  Because women in executive leadership often face cultural and political hurdles that men typically do not, they benefit from an inner circle of close female contacts that can share private, confidential information.  Women face a greater challenge in networking to find professional opportunities and career advancement – and they, more than men, need to maintain both wide networks and informative inner circles in order to land the best position and secure the most advantageous opportunities.

By combining research on the characteristics of an effective network, you can learn how to create your own power tribe that can support your purpose, your passion and accelerate your success.  Today, Linda will unveil:

1. The qualities and characteristics of those leaders that can raise their visibility, expand their influence and leverage the power of a power tribe, and how they use the multiplier effect to accelerate their success.
2. Learn about gender differences in networking, and how our social networks affect our well-being.
3. She’ll identify the nine types of people everyone should have in their network.
4. She’ll explain how you can move in the direction of your purpose, your mission and your dreams in trust-based relationships.
