Topic: Less than Perfect

Speaker: Lisa Burbage, CEO and Founder, Wellness Five

Presentation:
Lisa Burbage had a highly successful career until stress and anxiety overcame her, and God blessed her with cancer. It slowed her down and forced her to re-evaluate her lifestyle. She then founded Wellness Five, a boutique training and consulting firm that teaches us how to live healthier, happier lives.

Today Lisa talks about the false need to be perfect and how unrealistic expectations can be implanted in us by a parental figure at a young age. Lisa describes how the need to be perfect also created eating disorders in her younger years and how she finally broke free.

Some takeaways from today's presentation are:

- Lisa's experience dealing with eating disorders

- The creation of Wellness Five

- The need for social connection

- The "upward spiral."

- Breaking down your goals into bite-sized pieces
