Job Hunting in the Post Pandemic World

The Covid Crisis was a catalyst for profound introspection as well as economic and political change. It’s no secret that companies everywhere were impacted by the need to pivot to remote work, while reducing staffing and then fighting to retain staff as the great resignation commenced.

For those who find themselves in the job hunt at this time there are new realities and new dynamics that have taken hold. Companies are seeking workers who can pivot quickly. People who can multitask. People who can work hybrid and people who can commit to working in the office as well.

A recent study indicated that 26% of all Americans will be searching for a new job this year. If you’re one of them, now is the time to determine who you are in this post-pandemic world, what you really want moving forward, and how to get it.

In this inter-active hour Lew Bader, Chairman of the Long Island Chapter and the Peer Resume Review Committee of The FENG will lead a discussion regarding:

What has changed in the marketplace

How to network in a post pandemic world (virtual and in person)

Skills to develop and enhance

Your marketing material (aka your resume and LinkedIn profile)

Modifying your approach to interviews

The summer is over. It’s time to load up your toolbelt and get to work. Join us on August 31st to jumpstart your Fall job search.

About Lew Bader:

Lew Bader is Co-Chair of both the Long Island Chapter of The FENG and The FENG Resume Review Committee. After spending 40 years in Fortune 500 companies, Lew at the age of 62 found himself out of work for the first time in his life. Over the course of the next two years he developed his job hunting tool kit and ultimately landed at Counseling In Schools, a non-profit based in New York City as their first (and thus far only) Finance Director. Lew prides himself on the fact that he worked with Matt Bud in 1981. When he joined the FENG in 2014 Matt remarked, “Congratulations Lew.  I think you’re my last friend to join The FENG.”
