Agenda:

Topic: Understanding IT Implications of a Zero Trust Doctrine  - why partnering with security and architecture may offer financial opportunities as both cost-cutters and revenue generators

Speaker: Mark Savage, Security Partner, CRS & Public Sector

Presentation:
Mark intends to share a story built on a fairly complex and regulated industry model. To establish an understanding of Zero Trust (ZT) we will go back to square-one and look at the paradigm through the business model. What are the challenges we face and how do IT executives parse the problem? Are the risks transparent and can we mange them? What is my understanding of “trust” involving people, process, and technology? What happens to my data and do I understand both current and future threats to my business and how will ZT apply? We hope to establish a foundational view of ZT for financial executives.

How is Zero Trust applied and is it different when considering the strategy versus the architecture, both having implications on budget? As a consideration of budget providing recognition that applying Zero Trust is a journey to shift culture so its cyclical and not a liner effort. Where is the business in its Zero Trust journey and should it be applied enterprise-wide, business unit level, or both? As the CFO or Financial Executive what opportunities exists during the process to engaging in cost-cutting and revenue-generation?
