Speakers bios:

Benjamin Martin:
Benjamin is a partner in CFGI’s Accounting Advisory practice.  He brings over 16 years of experience to both public and private companies across a range of disciplines, including interim executive management, manufacturing, consumer markets, media & entertainment, technology, and life sciences.  He also leads CFGI’s Inventory SME program and is the Managing Partner of CFGI’s Miami office.

In addition to running CFGI’s Miami office and Inventory SME program, Benjamin’s skills include interim executive management, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and initial public offerings readiness, divestitures, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and implementation of new accounting standards.

Benjamin began his career in the assurance practice at PwC and has spent much of his tenure at CFGI focused on executive interim management roles including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Vice President of Finance, Director of Technical Accounting, and Director of SEC Reporting. Most recently, Benjamin was the Chief Accounting Officer for a well-known consumer products brand based in New York City.


Jamie Tipps:
Jamie brings over 17 years of experience to her clients, providing accounting advisory services to public and private companies across an array of industries that includes but is not limited to Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail and Consumer Goods.

Prior to joining CFGI, Jamie worked as a Managing Director at Ernst & Young in Orlando, Florida. During her fifteen-year career at Ernst & Young, Jamie was responsible for leading audit engagements for a variety of clients, including SEC registrants and privately held companies, primarily in the health and life sciences industry. 

Her experience includes working with clients on a broad array of technical accounting issues, including but not limited to debt modification, purchase accounting, accounting for investments, and SEC reporting issues.  Jamie has extensive experience with the revenue cycle of healthcare organizations, including reimbursement for services provided in hospital, outpatient, and post-acute care settings. She is knowledgeable of both capitated fee and fee for service arrangements.

Jamie also has experience working with companies on initial public offerings, private placement offerings, and special purchase acquisition company (SPAC) transactions.
