Using Ramp and Bill.com as reference points, this session will compare how the two platforms approach AP and expense management while exploring the growing role of agentic AI in finance. The discussion will cover areas such as invoice coding, policy enforcement, approvals, ERP integration, and accounting workflows, including how AI agents can apply plain language instructions, automate routine tasks, and surface exceptions requiring human judgment. Attendees will gain a practical understanding of where these technologies differ today and how AI is changing the way finance teams manage and control spend.
Speaker's bio:
Edward Hosey is a Senior Sales Operations Specialist with Cherry Bekaert Advisory in The Woodlands, Texas. A major focus of his work is ERP and financial system integrations. He supports teams delivering solutions across Sage 100, Sage 300, Sage 300 CRE, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage Intacct, Ramp, and related finance systems. He holds Ramp's AI Specialist, Implementation Consultant, and Specialist certifications.
